Applications are now open for the Small Business Grant Scheme. Businesses which receive small business rates relief or rural rate relief including those in the retail, hospitality or leisure sectors, will receive a cash grant of £10,000 (increased from £3,000 announced in the 11 March Budget).

Whilst your local authority will get in touch directly, it is possible to begin the application process now.

The following councils are open for application:

  1. Cheshire East Council
  2. Cheshire West and Chester Council
  3. Newcastle-Under-Lyme Borough Council
  4. Staffordshire Moorlands District Council
  5. Derbyshire Council

In order to register, you will need the following information:

  1. Business name
  2. Business address
  3. Full name of the applicant
  4. Date of birth
  5. Email address
  6. Phone number
  7. Rates reference number
  8. VAT Number or Company number
  9. Name on the bank account
  10. Sort code
  11. Account number
